Eric Westerduin

Founder

Eric is a high-energy entrepreneur. Already usually the loudest person in the room (sorry, he’s from NY), he gets even more energized when the conversation topic is new business/product ideas. If you can be born an entrepreneur, then that was Eric. He started his first business at age nine, studied entrepreneurship at Cornell University, founded/co-founded many businesses (ask him to tell some stories), and even had a few successful exits.

As a founder, Eric's skill was always on the operational side of the business: product ideas, manufacturing processes, and figuring out how to make things work. His superpower is finding creative solutions for tough problems (unless those problems are related to sales & marketing, his Achilles heel). After selling his last business, he spent two years as the COO of a contract manufacturing company, scaling their business from $5M to $43M. Along the way he discovered his true passion and life’s purpose.

Eric always loved the creativity of product development and the complexity of manufacturing (as a kid, his favorite show was How It’s Made on the Discovery Channel). Having spent years working directly with overseas factories (his first China trip was in 2009) as part of prior business ventures, he also knew firsthand how difficult it was to manage your own production. His COO stint was a crash course that gave him a whole new level of understanding, connections, and technical expertise. Eric decided to lean into his passion, focus solely on what he's good at, and do it all in service to other founders.

Eric set out to build a better, more transparent way to bring products to market. He built what he wished he had as a founder: a real partner who handles every step of developing, sourcing, and manufacturing products overseas, and actually picks up the phone when something breaks. Eric founded GO Get Made for one reason: to create the ideal manufacturing partner for growing consumer product brands.

Eric is incredibly passionate about working with founders. His goal is to be that reliable partner who gives them expert advice and peace of mind so they can scale without stress. With over 15 years of experience sourcing and manufacturing products overseas, he's the guy founders call when they need it done right. That's his thing, and he feels lucky he gets to do it every day.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find him walking around the lake with his dog Milo. His girlfriend Lisday is way cooler than him (trust me, you’ll like her more) and her dog Remi is the only dog that might be cuter than Milo. Eric has a fancy carbon fiber road bike that doesn’t get used nearly enough, he loves go-karting (until he can afford a real race car), he plays golf a few times per year, he’s recently obsessed with padel, and he feels at home on the playa.
